The old Master instructed the unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it.
"How does it taste?" the Master asked
"Awful!" spat the apprentice
The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake.
The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the apprentice swirled his handful of salt into the lake, the old man said, "Now drink from the lake"
As the water dripped down the young man's chin, the Master asked, "How doesit taste?"
"Good!" remarked the apprentice
"Do you taste the salt?" asked the Master
"No," said the young man
The Master sat beside this troubled young man, took his hands, and said,"The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same. But the amount we taste the 'pain' depends on the container we put it into. So when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things.....Stop being a glass!Become a lake!"

Happy Girl Friends Day
God did not intend for us to be all rich, beautiful, or great.....but he does intend for us all to be friends.
Good times are even better when they're shared.
A good long talk can cure almost anything.
Everyone needs someone with whom to share her secrets.
Listening is just as important as talking.
An understanding friend is better than a therapist; and cheaper too!
Laughter makes the world a happier place.
Friends are like wine; they get better with age.
Sometimes you just need a shoulder to cry on.
Great minds think alike, especially when they are female!
When it comes to "bonding" females do it better.
YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD FOR SLUMBER PARTIES !!!
It's important to make time to do "girl things"
Calories don't count when you are having lunch with your girlfriends.
GEMS MAY BE PRECIOUS, BUT FRIENDSHIP IS PRICELESS !!!

A little Boy's Doll & White Roses
GOOD MESSAGE ABOUT NOT DRINK DRIVING
A very touching story... Please read....
As a reminder : Take time to appreciate what you have now.
A LITTLE BOY'S DOLL
On the last day before Christmas, I hurried to go to the supermarket to buy the remaining of the gifts I didn't manage to buy earlier. When I saw all the people there, I started to complain to myself, "It is going to take forever here & I still have so many other place to go.
Christmas really is getting more & more annoying every year. How I wish I could just lie down, go to sleep & only wake up after it... Nonetheless, I made my way to the toy section & there I started to curse at the prices, wondering if after all kids really play with such expensive toys.
While looking in the toy section, I noticed a small boy of about 5 years old.
He was pressing a doll against his chest. He kept on touching the hair of the doll & looked so sad.
I wondered who was this doll meant for. Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him. "Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?"
The old lady replied, "You know that you don't have enough money to buy the doll, my dear."
Then she asked him to stay here for 5 minutes while she went to look around.
She left quickly. The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.
Finally, I started to walk towards him & I asked him who did he want to give this doll to? "It is the doll that my sister loved most & wanted so much for this Christmas. She was so sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her."
I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus will bring it to her & not to worry.
But he replied to me sadly."No, Santa Claus can not bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mother so that she can give it to her when she goes there."
His eyes were so sad while saying this. "My sister has gone to be with God."
Daddy says that Mummy will also go to see God very soon & I thought that she could bring the doll with her to give it to my sister."
My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said, "I told daddy to tell mummy not to go yet. I asked him to wait until I come back from the supermarket."
Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me, "I also want mummy to take this photo with her so that she will not forget me. I love my mummy & I wish she doesn't have to leave me but daddy says that she has to go to be with my littlesister."
Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly. I quickly reached for my wallet & took a few notes & said to the little boy, "What if we checked again, just in case if you have enough money?"
"Ok," he said. "I hope that I have enough."
I added some of my money to his without him seeing & we started to count. There was enough for the doll, and even some spare money.
The little boy said, "Thank you God for giving me enough money."
Then he looked at me and added, "I asked yesterday before I slept for God to make sure I have enough money to buy this doll so that mummy can give it to my sister. He heard me. I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mummy, but I didn't dare to ask God too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll & the white rose. You know, my mummy loves white roses."
A few minutes later, the old lady came again & I left with my trolley.
I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered a local newspaper article 2 days ago, which mentioned of a drunk man in a truck who hit a car where there was one young lady & a little girl. The little girl died right away but the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-supporting machin! e, because the young lady would not be able to get out of the coma.
Was this the family of the little boy?
Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young lady had passed away. I couldn't stop myself & went to buy a bunch of white roses & went to the mortuary where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see & pay the last respect before burial.
She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand, the photo of the little boy & the doll placed over her chest. I left the place crying, feeling that my life had been changed forever.
The love that this little boy had for his mother & his sister till that day, which is hard to imagine. Just in a fraction of a second, a drunk man had taken all these away from him.
When you send this message, maybe you will help prevent someone from drink-driving.

You're exceedingly polite to the Mat Sallehs but you slag your ownkind. "Hello, sir. Why don't you sit here, it's got the best view of thecity skyline." But "Aunty-ah, your table is over there next to the kitchen"
You order Maggi goreng and fried chicken, complain about how oily the food is, and then proceed to finish it anyway.
You love to talk about food. You're already thinking about what to have for dinner while eating lunch. "I'm stuffed. What shall we have for dinner?"
You dive into a communal-style meal the moment the dish lands on the table only to hesitate at the last morsel of food on the serving dish. There are two possible explanations for this : the first is the pai seh(embarrassed) factor, while the other is the myth that the person who eats the last piece will be a spinster.
You hit the accelerator the moment the first drop of rain hits yourwindshield. "Alamak, it's going to rain. Sure traffic jam one. I'd better drive faster"
You seize the opportunity to make a U-turn anywhere ... especially where there is a sign telling you not to. Well, so long as the copsaren't in sight.
You forsake your loved ones for the all-important four letter-word : S-A-L-E. "Sorry, mum, I can't take you to Aunt Mary's because I haveto go to MidValley before the crowd" You're also more than happy to be part of the insane traffic jam that forms around malls during weekends and sale periods.
Reality shows Akademi Fantasia and Malaysian Idol dictate yoursocial life. "What, no TV at the mamak? Count me out? I'm staying home. Rinie needs my support "You pepper every sentence with lah. You fail to function normally without your daily dose of teh tarik and nasi lemak. You have owned at least one Proton in your lifetime. Cheap, cheap. That is until you start to make enough dough to buy that Honda you've been salivating over.
You slow down at an accident site to take down the car number plate, but won't step out of your car to help. The victim could be a robber!
You'd rather park your car along the main road outside the mall, where there's a yellow line, rather than pay RM1 to park inside where there are adequate bays.
You plead, bat your eyelids and relate a sob story to the officer at the town council office to let you off the hook (or reduce the amount considerably) for the fine you incurred when you parked your car on the double line.
You make an appointment for 10am and conveniently show up a half hour late. Malaysian time, what ...
You pop open the wet tissue packet at the Chinese restaurant by squeezing the trapped air to the top of the packet before proceeding to smash your fist into it. The louder the pop the better.
You greet your friend / neighbor / acquaintance on the street with "How are things?" or "Have you eaten?" or better yet, by stating the obvious : "Went to market ah?"
Ramlee burger is the "piece de resistance" of your growing-up-years cuisine. You catch all major televised events at the mamak. You have roughly six meals a day (breakfast, mid-morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper). Then there's the snacking? keropok ikan, pisang goreng, muruku, jam tarts and the like.
You get the whole family dressed to the nines, jump into the car and head for the minister's open house? and ask for styrofoam boxes and plastic bags to tar pau food.
Your accent and language style vary according to the race of the person you are conversing with. You've got a friendly disposition. Smiles are abundant and your "Apa khabar?" is warm and sincere.

You "dis" our country all the time, but as soon as something good happens (like winning the Thomas Cup), you morph into a proud Malaysian.
You never travel abroad without a bottle of chilli sauce, or sachets which you can sneak into restaurants.
You're proud to be Malaysian - and you pass these jokes on to all your Malaysian friends !

Living In Singapore
In Singapore, the majority of us live in Highly Dangerous Buildings (HDB).
And most people have already got used to Paying and Paying (PAP)
Not only do you have to pay, you Paying Until Bankrupt (PUB)
If that's not enough, somebody still Purposely Wants to Dig (PWD) and get more from you
So what more can you do when you are in the Money Only Environment (MOE)?
With the current Mad Accounting System (MAS), you are forced to Pay the Sum Ahead (PSA), which will leave some people Permanently Owing Some Banks (POSB)
And forced to live on the Loan Techniques Always (LTA) system
When you fall sick and happen to be admitted to a Money Operating Hospital (MOH)
You might be able to use your Cash Prior to Funeral (CPF) fund
If you are out of luck, you may meet doctors who Never Use Heart (NUH) to treat you
And you will be Sure to Give up Hope (SGH)
To help ease the traffic, motorists have to pay Cash On Expressway (COE)
If that doesn't help, they can always Eternally Raise Prices (ERP) on the roads
If you don't own a car, you can always make a Mad Rush to the Train (MRT)
OR get squashed in a bus Side By Side (SBS)
Lastly, under all these pressures, there are not many places we can relax, not even the good old place we used to go because it has become So Expensive and Nothing To See Actually (SENTOSA) !!!

How Guys Select Girls They Want To Marry
A man is dating three women and wants to decide which to marry.
He decides to give them a test.
He gives each woman a present of $5,000 and watches to see what they do with the money.
The first does a total makeover.
She goes to a fancy beauty salon, gets her hair done, purchases new make-up and buys several new outfits and dresses up very nicely for the man. She tells him that she has done this to be more attractive for him because she loves him so much. The man is impressed.
The second goes shopping to buy the man gifts.
She gets him a new set of STRONG golf clubs, some new gizmos for his computer and some expensive clothes. As she presents these gifts, she tells him that she has spent all the money on him because she loves him so
much. Again, the man is impressed.
The third invests the money in the stock market.
She earns several times the $5,000. She gives him back his $5000 and reinvests the remainder in a joint account. She tells him that she wants to save for their future because she loves him so much. Obviously, the man was impressed.
The man thought for a long time about what each woman had done with the money.
Then he married the one with the largest breasts.
Men are Men !!!

Unexpected BONUS !!!
Monday, 3 October 2005
Finally another new week again! I owes have this Monday Blues… *sigh* Carol & Tina went to the Convention. Me & Jade have to take over at Front Desk… The whole day I was not too busy…daily routine works to do…but the worse thing is the Internet is down again! *sigh* I can’t update my blog, can’t chat online, can’t surf the internet…all this makes my days even worse…I owes surf + chat to release stress + pressure + boredom daily in office…
The electricity cut off when it’s almost lunch hour. Me & Jade have to eat in office cos the rest of them ALL went out to have lunch at 12:30pm when the electricity is down *sigh* =( I feel so bad when I think 7th Floor can CLOSE for lunch but not us in 5th Floor *sigh* After lunch, Diana told us she got BONUS! Kiong sms to inform me that we’ve BONUS too… *hehehe* His news is fast!!! I’m so happy to hear the news but still wandering if new staffs like me can get it or not…like my previous Company…NO BONUS for staffs less than 1 Year service…I keep quiet & continue with my work…
Finally at 6:00pm, RC asked ALL of us to go up 7th Floor to meet him personally, except Jo *hehehe* Then I know the news is TRUE! My feeling is happy + excited + scared while waiting for my turn to meet RC…
I’m the last one to meet him! When I enter his room, he’s smiling…he handed me an envelope & talked to me nicely…I opened the envelope…I’ve 1-Month BONUS!!! I’m so happy…
When I reach home, I told my parents about it…
Dad’s comments…he told me this Bonus is just the OT payment + the hard work during Grand Launching for us…hopefully if he gives another Bonus during CNY…then it’s more worthwhile…this is reasonable for now…but wait till CNY to see if RC keeps his promise about giving us another Bonus… =) Parents still encouraged me to look for a better offer job… *hehehe*

Hand Phone Alert
To all handphone users !!!
Don't answer a cell phone while it is being CHARGED !!!
A few days ago, a person was recharging his cell phone at home. Just at that time a call came through and he attended to it. With the instrument still connected to the mains. After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained and the person was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud. His parents rushed into the room only to find him unconscious, with weak heartbeats and burnt fingers. He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
A Cell phone is a very useful modern invention.
However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death.
Never use the cell phone while it is hooked to the mains !!!
FORWARD THIS TO THE PEOPLE THAT MATTER IN YOUR LIFE

The Story of Boss & Employee
When I take a long time.
I am slow.
When my boss takes long time.
He is thorough.
When I don't do it.
I am lazy.
When my boss doesn't do it.
He is too busy.
When I do something without being told.
I am trying to be smart.
When my boss does the same.
That is initiative.
When I please my boss.
I am apple - polishing.
When my boss please his boss.
He's co-operating.
When I do well, my boss never remembers!
When I do wrong, he never forgets!
Human Resources Department
After 2 years of selfless service, a man realised that he has not been promoted, no transfer, no salary increase no recommendation and that the Company is not doing any thing about it. So he decided to walk up to his HR Manager one morning and after exchanging greetings, he told his HR Manager his observation.
The boss looked at him, laughed and asked him to sit down saying "My friend, you have not worked here for even one day". The man was surprised to hear this, but the manager went on to explain.
Manager : How many days are there in a year?
Man : 365 days and some times 366
Manager : How many hours make up a day?
Man : 24 hours
Manager : How long do you work in a day?
Man : 8am to 4pm. i.e. 8 hours a day
Manager : So, what fraction of the day do you work in hours?
Man : He did some arithmetic and said 8/24 hours i.e. 1/3(one third)
Manager : That is nice of you! What is one-third of 366 days?
Man : 122 (1/3x366 = 122 in days)
Manager : Do you come to work on weekends?
Man : No Sir!
Manager : How many days are there in a year that are weekends?
Man : 52 Saturdays and 52 Sundays equals to 104 days
Manager : Thanks for that !! If you remove 104 days from 122 days, how many days do you now have?
Man : 18 days
Manager : OK !! I do give you 2 weeks sick leave every year. Now remove that 14 days from the 18 days left. How many days do you have remaining?
Man : 4 days
Manager : Do you work on New Year day?
Man : No Sir!
Manager : Do you come to work on Workers day?
Man : No Sir!
Manager : So how many days are left?
Man : 2 days Sir!
Manager : Do you come to work on the National day?
Man : No Sir!
Manager : So how many days are left?
Man : 1 day Sir!
Manager : Do you work on Christmas day?
Man : No Sir!
Manager : So how many days are left?
Man : None Sir!
Manager : So, what are you claiming?
Man : I have understood, Sir. I did not realise that I was stealing Company money all these days.

Good about Bananas
This is interesting !!!
After reading this, you'll NEVER look at a banana in the same way again.....
B A N A N A S
Containing three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber, a banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.
Depression : According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
PMS : Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.
Anemia : High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.
Blood Pressure : This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it the perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke
Brain Power : 200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.
Constipation : High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
Hangovers : One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
Heartburn : Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.
Morning Sickness : Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.
Mosquito bites : Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.
Nerves : Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady
Ulcers : The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
Temperature control : Many other cultures see bananas as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand, for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) : Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural moodenhancer tryptophan.
Smoking : Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6 and B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.
Stress : Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack.
Strokes : According to research in "The New England Journal of Medicine", eating bananas as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%!
Warts : Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of banana skin and place it on the wart, with the yellow side out. Carefully hold the skin in place with a plaster or surgical tape!
So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around.
So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A banana a day keeps the doctor away !"
PS: Bananas must be the reason monkeys are so happy all the time !!!

Retirement
This is another way to retire and don't worry about your children not taking care of you when you are old.
About 2 years ago my friend and I were on a cruise through the western Mediterranean aboard a Princess Liner.
At dinner we noticed an elderly lady sitting alone along the rail of the grand stairway in the main dining room. I also noticed that all the staff, ships officers, waiters, busboys, all seemed very familiar with this lady. I asked our waiter who the lady was, expecting to be told she owned the line, but he said he only knew that she had been on board for the last four cruises, back to back.
As we left the dining room one evening I caught her eye and stopped to say hello.
We chatted and I said, "I understand you've been on this ship for the last four cruises".
She replied, "Yes, that's true."
I stated, "I don't understand" and she replied, without a pause, "It's cheaper than a nursing home".
So, there will be no nursing home in my future. When I get old and feeble, I am going to get on a Princess Cruise Ship.
The average cost for a nursing home is $200 per day. I have checked on reservations at Princess and I can get a long term discount and senior discount price of $135 per day.
That leaves $65 a day for:
1. Gratuities which will only be $10 per day. And the rest can be put into the slot machines.
2. I will have as many as 10 meals a day if I can waddle to the restaurant, or I can have room service (which means I can have breakfast in bed everyday of the week)
3. Princess has as many as three swimming pools, a workout room, free washers and dryers, and shows every night.
4. They have free toothpaste and razors, and free soap and shampoo.
5. They will even treat you like a customer, not a patient. An extra $5 worth of tips and your casino winnings will have the entire staff scrambling to help you.
6. I will get to meet new people every 7 or 14 days.
7. T.V. broken? Light bulb needs changing? Need to have the mattress replaced? No problem! They will fix everything and apologize for your inconvenience.
8. Clean sheets and towels every day, and you don't even have to ask for them.
9. If you fall in the nursing home and break a hip you are on Medicare; if you fall and break a hip on the Princess ship they will upgrade you to a suite for the rest of your life.
Now hold on for the best! Do you want to see South America, the Panama Canal, Tahiti, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, or name where you want to go? Princess will have a ship ready to go.
So don't look for me in a nursing home, just call shore to ship.
PS : And don't forget, when you die, they just dump you over the side at no charge.

The Brick
A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown.
The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, "What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?"
The young boy was apologetic. "Please, mister...please, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do,"
He pleaded. "I threw the brick because no one else would stop..."
With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car.
"It's my brother" he said.
"He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up"
Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair?
He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."
Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay.
"Thank you & May God bless you," the grateful child told the stranger.
Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home. It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door.
He kept the dent there to remind him of this message "Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!"
God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not.
Thought for the Day
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every Spring.
He sends you a Sunrise every morning…
Face it…friend! He is crazy about you!
Send this to every "Beautiful Person" you wish to bless.
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
Read this line very slowly and let it sink in...
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it…

Meaningful Story
I ran into a stranger as he passed by, "Oh excuse me please" was my reply.
He said, "Please excuse me too; I wasn't watching for you"
We were very polite, this stranger and I. We went on our way and we said good-bye.But at home a different story is told, how we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal, my son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down. "Move out of the way," I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken. I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
While I lay awake in bed, God's still small voice came to me and said,"While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use, but the family you love, you seem to abuse.”
Go and look on the kitchen floor, you'll find some flowers there by the door. Those are the flowers he brought for you. He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue. He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise; you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes.
By this time, I felt very small, and now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed; "Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.
"Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree. I picked 'em because they're pretty like you. I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."
I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today; I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay. I love you anyway."
I said, "Son, I love you too, and I do like the flowers, especially the blue"
FAMILY
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than into our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think? So what is behind the story? Do you know what the word FAMILY means?

Girl Friends
A very useful piece of wisdom..........
Hope that we'll be able to maintain our FRIENDSHIP through thick and thin..........
Love U Gals !!! *HuGs* :-)
A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking iced tea while visiting her mother. As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned to her daughter in a clear, sober voice.
"Don't forget your girlfriends," she advised, swirling the tea-leaves to the bottom of her glass.
"They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you'll have, you are still going to need girlfriends. Remember to go places with them now and then do things with them. And remember that 'girlfriends' are not only your friends - but your sisters, your daughters, your daughter-in-laws and other female relatives too. You'll need other women. Women always do.""What a funny piece of advice," the young woman thought.
"Didn't I just get married? Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake, a grown-up, not a young girl who needs girlfriends! Surely my husband and the family we'll start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!"
But she listened to her mother; she kept contact with her girlfriends and befriended more each year. As the years rolled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her mum really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, girlfriends are the mainstays of her Life.
A girlfriend is never further away than needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley - and you have to walk it for yourself - your girlfriends will be on the valley's edge, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you. Or they'll come in and carry you out.Our daughters, daughter-in-laws, sisters, mothers, sisters-in-laws, mothers-in-law, aunties, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends bless our lives! The world wouldn't be the same without them, and neither would we.
When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other.
Every day, we need each other still......
Pass this on to the women who help make your life work !!!
Hope that we'll be able to maintain our FRIENDSHIP through thick and thin..........

Time passes
Life happens
Distance separates
Children grow up
Love waxes and wanes
Hearts break
Careers end
Jobs come and go
Parents die
Colleagues forget favours
Men don't call when they say they will
BUT girlfriends are there,
no matter how much time and how many miles are between you

Marinate it overnight,
And work on it tomorrow.
Chop one grudge in tiny pieces,
Add several cups of love.
Dredge with a large sized smile,
Mix with the ingredients above.
Dissolve the hate within you,
By doing a good deed.
Cut in and help your friend,
If he/she should be in need.
Stir in laughter, love and kindness,
From the heart it has to come.
Toss with genuine forgiveness,
And give your friends some.
The amount of people served,
Will depend on you.
It can serve the whole wide world.
If you really want it to !!!
